Use emails or updates to let your supporters know how close you are to reaching your fundraising goal, how the funds raised will impact the cause, and how they can help promote the campaign. These types of updates ensure that your donors are engaged throughout the entire duration of the fundraiser. 

It's easy to reach out to your donors directly from your campaign. In this article we'll cover two ways you can update donors from RallyUp:

  • Post updates to the “updates” tab on your fundraiser page 
  • Send email to donors

How to post campaign updates:

  1. Go to my campaigns in the left menu.
  2. If you have chosen list view, click on the title of your campaign. If you have chosen grid view, click on the campaign image.
  3. Click on manage updates to open the updates tab on your campaign page.
  4. Click add an update. Enter the content for your update (you can include photos, videos, and more).
  5. Click save to post the update to your campaign page. 

The update will be visible to anyone who visits your campaign page. They can view any updates under the update tab. An email will also be sent to donors with a link to your update (if they have opted-in to receive updates).

How to send emails to your donors:

  1. Go to my campaigns in the left menu.
  2. If you have chosen list view, click on the title of your campaign. If you have chosen grid view, click on the campaign image.
  3. Click on view donations* to open a list of all donations and donors on your campaign.
  4. Click the donors tab in the upper right to view your list of donors. Use the checkbox in the far left column to select the donor(s) you would like to email (or select all).
  5. Click send email to start composing your email message.
  6. Click send when you’re ready.

*Note that the terminology on these buttons may be different according to the terminology that you've created for your campaign.
