While RallyUp does not have an issue with raffling a firearm as a prize, it does violate Stripes terms of service. Currently, Stripe is the only payment processor available on our platform.
If Stripe detects this violation, they can shut down an organization’s account in the middle of their campaign. This will prevent the organization from collecting funds on their raffle or selling any more entries. As such, the organization would need to cancel the raffle entirely or complete the drawing only with the entries that have been sold so far. In the event of a cancellation, donors would need to be notified and donations would have to be refunded. Per RallyUp and Stripe’s terms of service, any platform fees and credit card processing fees (including tips added) are non-refundable.
In order to avoid this difficult situation, RallyUp encourages you to proactively reach out to Stripe to inform them of what you are doing and see if they will grant an exception.
