RallyUp uses Stripe to process donations via credit and debit card. Stripe charges nonprofit organizations a rate of 2.2% plus $0.30 per transaction to do this. So where does this money go? The answer is pretty simple.

The bank or other financial institution that issues the credit card gets most of this fee to pay their costs (and make a profit). Stripe gets a very small part of the fee for handling the collection and processing of the payment.

RallyUp does not receive any portion of the credit card fees. The fees are set strictly by Stripe and the credit card companies.
